Work in progress — incomplete build package.
I built Zook—a little robot for my kids to read them bedtime stories at night. Little Stories is the same project. This download contains its ESP32-P4 story-generation and audio experiments, so you can look inside the work.
Get the code
Read it. Learn from it. Make something of your own.
Download Zook / Little Stories source (ZIP)105 KB · Snapshot: October 12, 2026 · Includes START-HERE.md and a file list.
Where to start
- Download and unzip the folder.
- Read START-HERE.md for the tools, dependencies, and missing pieces.
- Read esp32p4_storygen/README.md and main/INTEGRATION.md, then main/main.c. The audio-test and WAV-test folders are separate projects.
- Check the configuration against your own hardware before building or flashing.
What still needs work
The robot and this shared source package are not the same thing: the package is incomplete. Model and tokenizer files and the companion speech firmware still need to be added before this can serve as a complete build kit.
I'll use this space to document problems, what I tried, and what I learned as I work on it.
Build notes
Model and tokenizer binaries, and the companion S3 speech firmware, are not included. The original README describes an earlier stage and may not match every module. This is source to explore, not a complete ready-to-flash kit.
These are workshop source snapshots. They have not been compiled or hardware-tested for this download. Original third-party notices remain in the files; no new blanket license has been added.
Stop waiting for permission. Grab a tool, make mistakes, and build something.
